Frequently Asked Questions

Does krill oil lead to fluid retention (body holds water)?

Omega-3’s serve as precursors to eicosanoids, which help to maintain healthy inflammatory levels. Fluid retention is not an inflammatory response and is more of a result from injury, hormonal imbalances and/or nutritional deficiencies. The omega-3’s found in krill oil do not serve as a diuretic but may assist with improved joint health, cardiovascular health and immunity.
