Frequently Asked Questions

Is krill oil good for eye health?

Yes. Krill oil’s omega-3s can help to lubricate eyes, limiting dryness and irritation. Krill oil also contains astaxanthin (a potent antioxidant and carotenoid) which can also support eye health. The American Optometric Association states that DHA, an omega-3 found in krill oil, is found, “in the highest concentration in the retina, suggesting it has an important functional role.” They also state that various studies have indicated that supplementing with DHA has been shown to support healthy vision among infants and adults.
