DOES YOUR KRILL OIL MEASURE UP?

Standard Krill Oil

The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) is an independent, scientific nonprofit organization focused on building trust in the supply of safe, quality medicines. It creates monographs which detail the quality standards and a verification process specifically for certain dietary supplements. According to the krill oil monograph it should have at minimum of 30% phospholipids, 10% omega-3 EPA, and 5% omega-3 DHA. See chart below to see if your products meet those standards:

Does Your Krill Oil Meet the Standard?

If your krill oil does not meet those gold standards, you may not get all the researched health benefits. Be wary of counterfeit krill oil products sold that don’t meet this standard.

Before adding any dietary supplement to your routine, including krill oil, we recommend talking with your healthcare provider – especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions, take medication, or are pregnant/nursing. Dietary supplements are not meant to substitute a healthy diet and exercise. Note: Krill oil contains crustacean shellfish.
